The role:

The Assistant Director of Campus Success position is responsible for the day-to-day customer service of our partner campuses leading to the expansion of services and contract Renewal of each account. In this campus-facing role, you will be responsible for onboarding, implementation, and ongoing support for new and existing Higher Education partners. Through your energy and passion for BetterMynd, you will generate loyalty and trust among our campuses post-sale; schedule meetings, facilitate presentations and product demonstrations via the web and on-campus, and close Renewals in accordance with annual performance targets. This is an ideal position for a dedicated, hard-working, and independently motivated individual who enjoys learning in a fast-paced, start-up environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Onboarding new campus partners to ensure successful implementation and utilization of BetterMynd counseling sessions.
  • Track utilization of sessions, identify trouble spots and initiate solutions in an urgent, yet compassionate and professional manner.
  • Demonstrate BetterMynd products and services to new contacts at current accounts via phone, web, and in-person with authenticity and enthusiasm.
  • Embrace a dynamic, changing, growth environment, evolving our Campus Success strategies in collaboration with your direct supervisor and company leaders.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing as we strive to achieve shared revenue and student engagement goals.
  • Utilize CRM and Ticketing systems to manage communication and some aspects of the client lifecycle.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and positive energy while representing BetterMynd online, on campuses, and at various conferences and association meetings.
  • Motivate yourself to manage daily tasks as this is a remote (or hybrid) position working from your home office.


  • BA/BS – Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3+ years of Client Success/Implementation/Customer Service experience.
  • Experience with Higher Education preferred.
  • Experience with modern customer service methodologies.
  • Experience supporting subscription-based technology services preferred.
  • Client Success experience can be traded for on-campus practitioner experience in some cases.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; confident communicating and building rapport with senior-level as well as administrative professionals.
  • Strong listening and questioning skills to gain a clear understanding of needs and challenges.
  • Resourcefulness, assertiveness, and strong service ethic.
  • Growth mindset: you actively seek coaching and embrace feedback from colleagues.
  • Focus and time management skills are critical in working from a remote/home office.
  • Travel as necessary (likely just a few trips per year).

Location: Remote (Buffalo, NY headquarters preferred)

Compensation: $55,000-$70,000 base salary, full health benefits, 401k, and equity considerations.
